Kevin Madill joined Graphite as a Partner in 2021 and became General Partner in 2023, bringing something rare to a venture capital firm: he has co-founded and scaled a Canadian B2B company from zero to a recognized global brand.
Kevin co-founded Miovision Technologies in 2006 — one of Canada’s most successful B2B hardware and software companies — and spent nine years building it, serving in product and technical leadership roles that took the company from a Waterloo garage to operations across multiple continents. That experience gave him a ground-level understanding of what it actually takes to build a technical product, hire an engineering team, find product-market fit, and scale distribution in competitive international markets.
After Miovision, Kevin served as CPO/CTO at SnappCar in the Netherlands, adding international operator experience to his profile before returning to Canada to invest. He spent over a year as Investment Director at the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund before joining Graphite, and has been an active advisor to Invest Ottawa’s product management community since 2020.
Earlier in his career, Kevin held roles at Nortel Networks, BlackBerry, Sandvine, and Cypress Semiconductor — a technical pedigree that informs how he evaluates product architecture, engineering teams, and technical moats in Graphite’s portfolio companies.
