Craig Leonard is a Managing Director and General Partner at Graphite Ventures, based in Toronto, where he invests in Canadian B2B founders at the seed stage. He is one of the few investors in Canada who has sat on both sides of every table that matters as a founder, an operator, a CRO, and a seed-stage investor, and he brings that range to Graphite’s portfolio companies when the hardest question isn’t whether to scale, but how.
Before Graphite, Craig spent seven years as Senior Investment Director at the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund, where he backed some of Canada’s most promising early-stage B2B companies, including StackAdapt. Before that, he spent over a decade as a founder and operator: he co-founded Integrative Health Centres Inc., built and exited businesses in sales enablement software (Aging Interactive), wearable technology (Engage Biomechanics), and digital media (MLM Media), and owned and operated a medical building and clinic. Earlier in his career, Craig served as CRO at MediaTrust and held business development roles at Digitas (Publicis) in Boston, giving him deep go-to-market experience on both the enterprise and startup side.
